My Guru. These guys were 80, and they walked up 11 miles to Clouds Rest, Yosemite National Park. I was absolutely dying, but figured, hell, if 80-year-olds can make it in this heat, I can. Ran out of water, it was miserable.

Once you get older, walking up mountains is not so much fun. You go to the Jeep and start high. Nobody wants to go, but Doodles, the wild is full of mosquitoes, and the weather is often cold or hot or wet or windy with all the above. Washington is no joke wilderness.
